The idea for the virtual museum of puppets came during the nation-wide Covid-lockdowns in 2021. The viennese puppet theater Schubert Theater was looking for new ways to connect to its audience without just recording classic stage performances. We decided to use the VR Meeting platform Mozilla Hubs as it is easily accessible through the browser - no need to register or download 3rd party software.
Visitors can experience the museum with their friends, pick an avatar (3D Scans of the actual puppets) in the Puppet Temple and walk through production-inspired 3D scenes.
